You Are the Weakest Link. Goodbye.

Most all would agree that the weakest link in a LED fixture is the driver. Many published papers on the topic of LED fixture reliability will also point out that much of the issue around reliability of LED drivers stems from the use of electrolytic capacitors. To make matters worse, the inherent heat associated with most LED drivers makes this already weak component even weaker. When electrolytic capacitors are exposed to ANY amount of heat, they start to degrade, and as the amount of heat increases, the faster the capacitors degrade.

EnergyLite recognized this weakness and designed it out completely! Our LED driver does NOT use any electrolytic capacitors, which makes them a more reliable option than others in the industry. Our unique electronic design does not need bulk capacitance to function properly and therefore does not need electrolytic capacitors.

You may be thinking, “That’s all well and good, but I bet designing out the electrolytic capacitor sacrificed performance,” but you’d be wrong. Our LED driver — sans the electrolytic capacitor — does not produce lower THD, PFC or any other electrical parametric measurements compared to other drivers on the market.
